Harry Hansen, age 89, passed away April 13, 2017.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Jo, and daughter, Catherine O’Connor.  Loving father of John, Georgette Koons, Jeffery (Audrey), and Debra Caldwell;  cherished grandfather of ten;  great-grandfather of nine;  great-great grandfather of two;  dear brother of Richard (Peggy) and Linda Illes;  dear uncle to one niece and four nephews.  High school graduate at 17.  Joined the Navy and was stationed in the Philippines.  Honorably discharged and moved to Chicago, where he met and married his wife, Mary Jo, as he called her. He moved to Evanston in 1952 with his new family.  He was a Cub Scout Leader, a Scoutmaster, and a member of the American Legion, Power Squadron, and the Knights of Columbus. He was the owner of Hansen Landscape Service for over 50 years.  He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Evanston, since 1952, where he was an usher at the 8 a.m. Mass for over fifty-five years. He was also an altar server until his legs would not support him. For those who knew him and loved him, he will surely be missed. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017, at 12 noon, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL, 60421. If attending service, must arrive by 11:45 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rainbow Hospice, 1550 Bishop Court, Mt.
